The Homecoming Parade will be at 1:45 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 18.  Line-up will start at 12:40 in front of the Gym.  Student Council representatives will be out front to assist.  The entry fee is $10.  Checks may be made payable to MHS Student Council.  Pick up entry forms in the high school office.

 

There will be a Homecoming Dance Friday night after the game from 10:00 p.m.-12:00 midnight.  The junior class is sponsoring it to help raise money for prom.  Admission is $3 for singles and $5 for couples.  It is for Grades 7-12.  Homecoming souvenir pictures will be offered for $5 each, and drinks and desserts will be for sale.

2009-2010 Mantachie High School

Homecoming Court

The 2009 Freshman Maid is Tori Smith.  She is the daughter of Craig and Sherry Smith.  Tori is being escorted by her father.  She enjoys shopping, talking on the phone, and spending time with friends and family. Tori is a member of Boguefala Baptist Church.   Her future plans are to graduate from high school and attend ICC and then a senior college and major in education. Tori's flowers are being presented by cheerleaders Hannah McFerrin and Regan McFerrin.

Our 2009 Sophomore Maid is Morgan Carrell.  She is the daughter of Kevin and Leslie Carrell and Sheila Carrell Selph.  Morgan is being escorted by her father.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to church at Ozark Baptist, and doing things with her youth group.  Morgan is involved in Anchor Club, FCA, and Ozark Baptist Church's Youth Group.  Her future plans are to attend the University of Alabama and pursue a major in the medical field.  Morgan's flowers are being presented by cheerleaders Tatum Cleveland and Brandi Sheffield.

Our 2009 Junior Maid is Sara Roberts.  She is the daughter of Anthony and Gina Roberts. Sara is being escorted by her father.  She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and boyfriend, singing, riding four-wheelers, and boating.  Sara is involved in SADD, FCA, Beta Club, Science Club, Spanish Club, and is a member of the Anchor Holds Church in Guntown.  Her future plans are to go to ICC and pursue a degree in the radiology field.  Sara's flowers are being presented by cheerleaders Brooke Wilson, Anna Hood, and Alli DeVaughn.

Our 2009 Senior Maid is Ashley Phillips.  She is the daughter of Shane Phillips and Elizabeth Watson.  Ashley is being escorted by her father.  She enjoys spending time with friends and family, meeting new people, shopping, and setting a great example by always being happy.  Ashley is involved in FCA, Cross Country, SADD, Career Club, Anchor Club, Beta Club, Science Club, Student Council, Spanish Club, Drama Club, Junior Civitan Club, and is an active member of Friendship Baptist Church.  Her future plans are to attend ICC for two years, and then pursue a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi.  Ashley's flowers are being presented by cheerleaders Anna Grace Spradling and Maggie Oswalt. 

Our 2009 Football Queen is Bethany Willis.  She is the daughter of Jeff and Angie Willis.  Bethany is being escorted by her father.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering on Friday nights, taking pictures, going to church, and playing with her dog Winston.  Bethany is involved in FCA, SADD Club, Varsity Cheerleading, Anchor Club, Career Club, Beta Club, Science Club, Drama Club, Junior Civitan Club, Spanish Club, and is an active member of Good News Church.  Her future plans are to attend ICC and later attend Mississippi State University to pursue a career in Dental Hygiene.  Bethany's flowers are being presented by senior cheerleaders Anna Franks and Laken Grimes.  She is being crowned by senior football players Matthew Driskill and Zach Westmoreland.

Our 2009 Homecoming Queen is Anna Brooke Harkey.  She is the daughter of Mike and Sherry Harkey.  Anna Brooke is being escorted by her father.  She enjoys attending youth functions at church, being a part of the drama and skit teams at church, cheerleading, singing, playing with her dog Gracie, and spending time with family and friends.  Anna Brooke is an active member of Ozark Baptist Church and is involved in many school activities, such as the Varsity Cheerleading Squad, being Secretary/Treasurer of the Senior Class, and a member of the Junior Civitan Club, Science Club, Drama Club, FCA, Spanish Club, and Career Club.  Her future plans are to attend Blue Mountain College and earn a degree in Social Work.  She then plans to go to seminary for one year and receive a degree in Mission Work.  Anna Brooke's flowers are being presented by senior cheerleaders Haley Dickerson and Alli Frederick and senior Student Council representative Katelyn Carpenter.  She is being crowned by Mantachie High School's principal, Mr. Scott Blackley.
