September AnnouncementsREMINDER: Students must sign up by Wednesday of each week to receive a Certificate of Attendance to obtain a driver's license. Certificates will be given on Thursdays. The school board policy for absentees as they apply to exemptions has been changed. Absences used to determine exemption must be excused. If a student has any unexcused absentees in any class, he/she cannot be exempt from that class. Also, he/she has only two days after the absence to change an unexcused absence to an excused one. Parental notes can cover only five (5) days of absences each semester. The $15 national Junior Civitan dues must be paid by September 30. SADD Club dues need to be paid by September 30. The amount is $10.00. The Junior Class is sponsoring a Fish/Chicken Fry on Saturday, September 25, to help raise money for Prom. Plates are $8.00 each and will be available at Mantachie Park between 4:00-8:00 p.m. Anyone interested in signing up for the Junior Civitan Club needs to see Mrs. Plunk by Friday, September 3. The SADD Club will meet Wednesday, Sept. 1, at High School break. The $10 dues must be paid by the end of September.
